“The holy liturgy is the essence of group prayer and worship in our Orthodox Church. The church, where liturgy is celebrated, is the house of God and the door to heaven. It is the house of the angels and the meeting place of the saints. While the liturgy is being celebrated, the angels, archangels, the seraphim, and the cherubim all come to attend in heavenly arrays of great glory around the altar. … That is why the time we spend in church during mass is a moment of heaven on earth. That glory that surrounds us is hidden from our eyes at that time because we are still of human flesh. However, many have been found worthy of beholding this glory; they saw it and witnessed it, and their witness is true.”

The church really appreciates the dedication of our beloved congregation and their commitment to adhere to all the organizational and safety regulations during the past few months during its gradual reopening. The church also commends all those who have been committed to coming to church early; the majority of our congregation, especially those with young children and seniors. You have shown a great example of dedication for all future generations.
The church would like to reiterate the importance of coming early to church both from the spiritual and the practical sides.
From the spiritual side, coming early to church allows us to enjoy the readings, hymns, and the deep spiritual prayers of the holy liturgy which lift the soul to heaven and give it a break from its problems and preoccupations. Spending more time in church allows us to get rid of our worldly concerns and helps our spirits to become calm and to focus on the liturgy. That is why the Lord advises us to come to church early when attending prayers, for He says: “I love those who love Me, and those who seek Me diligently will find Me.” (Proverbs 8: 17)
There is no doubt that coming early to liturgy is challenging for some families; however, the past few months have proved it to be possible by the grace of God. Spiritually speaking, commitment to any spiritual habit is challenging and requires a lot of dedication and struggle in the beginning.
From the practical side; because of the organizational perspective of the COVID pandemic and the limitations stipulated from the current situation, the church is gratefully recruiting a lot of ushers to help maintain the safety protocols. These ushers are an integral part of our service, and they are basically our brothers/sisters and sons/daughters who deserve also to enjoy the prayers inside the church. We cannot simply ask them to stay outside during each service waiting for those coming late. Therefore, it is important that we all come to church on time, out of respect to those serving us and sacrificing their time and effort, so that we all enjoy a safe and organized time worshipping our Lord Jesus Christ.
The church has specified half an hour so that everyone who registered in any service may enter to the church in an organized fashion allowing all to take their assigned seats in a safe and orderly way.

تقدر الكنيسة حقًا تفاني المصلين المحبوبين والتزامهم بجميع اللوائح التنظيمية والسلامة خلال الأشهر القليلة الماضية مع إعادة الافتتاح التدريجي للكنيسة. كما تُعجب الكنيسة بكل أولئك الذين يلتزمون بالمجيء إلى الكنيسة مبكرًا ، وهم غالبية المصلين ، وخاصة أولئك الذين لديهم أطفال صغار أو كبار السن. لقد أظهرتم مثالاً رائعًا على التفاني لجميع الأجيال القادمة.
تود الكنيسة التأكيد على أهمية القدوم مبكراً إلى الكنيسة من الناحيتين الروحية والعملية.
من الناحية الروحية ، يتيح لنا القدوم مبكرًا إلى الكنيسة الاستمتاع بالقراءات والألحان والصلوات الروحية العميقة لليتورجيا المقدسة التي ترفع الروح إلى السماء وتريحها من مشاكلها وانشغالاتها. كلما زاد الوقت الذي نقضيه في الكنيسة، نستطيع التخلص من همومنا الدنيوية ونساعد أرواحنا على الهدوء والتركيز على الليتورجيا، لذلك نصحنا الرب بالقدوم إلى الكنيسة مبكرًا لحضور الصلوات ، لأنه يقول: “أنَا أُحِبُّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَنِي، وَٱلَّذِينَ يُبَكِّرُونَ إِلَيَّ يَجِدُونَنِي.” (أَمْثَالٌ ٨ : ١٧)
لا شك في أن القدوم مبكرًا إلى الليتورجيا يمثل تحديًا لبعض العائلات. ومع ذلك ، أثبتت الأشهر القليلة الماضية أن هذا ممكن بفضل نعمة الله. من الناحية الروحية، فإن الالتزام بأي عادة روحية يمثل تحديًا ويتطلب الكثير من التفاني والصراع في البداية.
من الناحية العملية، نظرًا للمنظور التنظيمي لوباء كوفيد والقيود المنصوص عليها في الوضع الحالي ، تقوم الكنيسة بتجنيد الكثير من المرشدين للمساعدة في الحفاظ على نظام بروتوكولات السلامة. هؤلاء المرشدون هم جزء لا يتجزأ من خدمتنا ، وهم في الأساس إخواننا / أخواتنا وأبناءنا / بناتنا الذين يستحقون أيضًا الاستمتاع بالصلاة داخل الكنيسة. لا يمكننا ببساطة أن نطلب منهم البقاء في الخارج أثناء انتظار كل فرد يحضر متأخراً. لذلك ، من المهم أن نأتي جميعًا إلى الكنيسة في الوقت المحدد احترامًا لأولئك الذين يخدموننا ويضحون بوقتهم وجهدهم حتى نتمتع جميعًا بوقت منظم وآمن في عبادة ربنا يسوع المسيح.
وقد رتبت الكنيسه نصف ساعة من الزمن لكي يتمكن شعبنا المبارك الذين حجزوا لحضور القداس من الدخول في نظام وترتيب مما يحفظ لهم امكانية الجلوس في اماكنهم في هدوء وسلامة.
