On Wednesday, November 14, 2012, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of Saint Mark, received Rev. Fr. Metias Said Ibrahim in the papal residence in the Monastery of Saint Pishoy in Wadi El-Natroun, Egypt. During the meeting, Fr. Metias congratulated our Pope on behalf of all the congregation of St. Mina’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. During his meeting with our Pope, Fr. Metias was accompanied with his brother Rev. Fr. Maximos Said Ibrahim (Tanta, Egypt). Below are some pictures of the meeting.
Just before the meeting, Fr. Metias took the blessing of visiting the shrine of the thrice-blessed Pope Shenouda III located in the same Monastery of Saint Pishoy in Wadi El-Natroun, Egypt.
The meeting was during the travel of our beloved Fr. Metias Ibrahim to Egypt to attend the enthronement ceremony of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II on Sunday, November 18, 2012 in St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral located in the Abbassia District in Cairo, Egypt. We pray that the Lord would grant His Holiness Pope Tawadros II many more peaceful years shepherding his flock in purity and righteousness.
